Guess where I'll be!!

John and I are going to be here on Sunday!!






And hanging with my friend Mickey and Minnie here on Thursday and Friday!!


My bags are almost packed and our passports are ready for our delayed honeymoon!!I am so ready to go. We will be flying into Orlando on Saturday and then driving to Port Canaveral on Sunday morning to get onto the Carnival Sensation. We will then be heading for the Bahamas.

John has never been to Disney World, so we decided to spend a couple extra days at the parks. I plan on giving him the whirl wind tour Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom and Epcot all in a day and a half!! I let you know how it goes. See you in a week!!

1 month into the marriage

Yay!! John and I have been married 1 month!! I know people thought I would never do it, but I've made it a whole month without living at my parents house!!

The first week was a little rough. We had no Internet and no cable!! Let me tell you, I hated it!! Thank goodness for movies and even more so TV shows on DVDs. We watched alot of reruns of Friends,Boy Meets World, and Las Vegas and when I was home alone I got to watch Gossip Girl!!

Apartment living is not my favorite thing though. I am still getting used to a small closet, not enough cabinet space, and only having the one bedroom and the living room. The best part of it is the place only takes like and hour to clean!!

John,me and the dog a gradually adjusting. We took Vegas to the dog park the other day and he loved it. Although I really think he would have preferred to go into the "Big Dog" part. I swear this dog thinks he is bigger than he is!!

Sorry I have no pictures to post!! I need to take some of our cute 1st living space and I'll post those for you to see!!

First Post As a Married Woman!!

The wedding was wonderful!! Everything went off without a hitch and was even more than I could have dreamed of!! I truly had my "dream"wedding.



No one could get over how calm I was the whole time. I decided along time ago that I wasn't going to let anything bother me. The only time I really got nervous was after all the bridal party had gone down the aisle and I was standing there alone with my dad. I was the same way went I competed, I was totally fine until that 30 seconds when they called your name and you were waiting on stage for the music to start. John on the other hand was a little bit different, although he'll never admit it. He managed to fumble the vows a bit, he forgot to repeat after he minister once and we all got a good chuckle out of it!!



I've managed to steal some pictures from some of my friends facebook pages to share with ya'll!! I'll post my bridal pictures soon and some pictures of our "mini-honeymoon"in Vegas!! I get to go on our "official"honeymoon cruise in September!!

I love what I do!!

So you probably would expect this blog to be about the upcoming wedding, but it's not. I decided to not talk wedding and talk work instead!

I have realized that I love what I do!! This is both jobs I have!! How many people can say they truly love their job? Yes I do complain, but it's not because I dislike it. I'm human like everyone else and need a break at times and hate getting up in the morning , but most of the time I love it!!

Job #1 consist of taking care of my Hunters. I love that I'm not tied down behind a desk all day and that I get to play all summer. Yes there are days that the girls are challenging, but what do I expect they are 4, 13 and 15. Aren't you all jealous of those ages....but most of the time we have fun.

Job #2 consist of teaching my wonderful dancers. There are days there too that I complain. Competition and recital times become stressful. If I got paid for every extra hour I spend doing stuff for these times I wouldn't need job #1. But I was taught along time ago, you teach dance because you love it not because you want to be rich. There are also days I want to kill children and parents, sometimes I swear some just like to hear them complain. But when my kids get up on stage I find myself more nervous watching them then I ever felt when I danced and competed. I also love the fact that so many of my friend I grew up with are now bringing their kids to take dance from me. These are the ones I think I enjoy the most sometimes. I feel special that I get to teach them, that these people feel comfortable enough to trust me with their kids!! I also love the bond I have with my competition kids. I see these kids more during the week, so you begin to feel like family. In fact their families gradually become my family and vice versa.

I feel so blessed to have both of these jobs!!

I know I said I wouldn't mention it, but wedding in 12 days!! I'm having anxiety attacks over moving!! Pray I can make it through the next couple of days!!

Jerseylicious

It all started at the begining of the month. My mom received a phone call from the lady in charge of my reception venue. She had been contacted by the casting director of a show on The Style Network called "Jerseylicious". The show is about The Gatsby Salon in New Jersey. It seems they have decided to bring the cast to Texas to feature a Big Texas Wedding and wanted to know if my venue had anything coming up. Immediatly my catering/venue manager put them in touch with me!

Well after about 2 weeks of phone conversations with the casting director, I finally got the 100% go ahead. They are coming down here and are going to feature my Big Texas WEdding on their show!! We are all so excited!! I don't know all the details yet, but I will post them as I know them.

I have exactly 2 weeks and 6 days left as an unmarried woman...Can you believe it?!

Engagement Pictures

Wedding day is quickly approaching!! I can't believe I only have about 6 weeks left. I took my bridal portraits this past weekend and my photographer brought me our engagement pics!! I'm so happy with the way they turned out. Our photographer, Jill Harper, is so wonderful to work with and does such amazing work!! I've had two showers so far and need to update about those, but I'm slow and uploading the pictures from the camera, I'll try to get to it this week. For now enjoy our wonderful engagement pictures!!

68 Days

I can't believe my wedding is in 68 days!! While I'm super excited, I'm also nervous. I still have so many things to do and my days and weekends are quickly filling up. I got my invitations today and I have to have them out by this weekend. I have my first shower on the 16th. Will two more smaller family showers to follow in the weeks to follow. This has all going by way to fast and before I know it the big day will be here!!
